Founded in 2016, Chimac originated from a trip to Seoul, where founders Sofia and Garret fell head over heels in love with Korean fried chicken. Fresh back from the trip, both were experimenting, frying chicken day and night in their small galley kitchen in Dublin. This passion resulted in the creation of a unique menu featuring flavorful sauces, giving rise to their restaurant, Chimac.
Drawing inspiration from Korea's fried chicken culture, Chimac has expanded beyond its two Dublin locations. Today, it not only serves customers locally but also shares its signature sauces, meticulously crafted in-house, with enthusiasts worldwide.
Inspired by Korea and hand-crafted in Dublin, Chimac's Korean Hot Sauce is not too hot hot sauce that’s unmistakably tangy, funky and with just the right amount of heat. Made with gochujang, vinegar, and selected spices, it's perfect for rice, veggies, marinades and a whole lot more.
