The heat is gentle but present, perfectly balanced by the richness of the fish, the fruitiness and acidity of the tomato, and the depth of the olive oil. Made by Papa Anzóis using certified artisanal methods. Ideal with grilled sourdough, soft polenta or a crisp glass of white wine.

The story behind Papa Anzóis

Conserveira do Arade was founded in 2015 in Parchal, in Portugal’s Algarve region, with the goal of reviving the area's long-standing fish canning tradition. As one of the few officially certified artisanal canneries in mainland Portugal, it focuses on small-scale production and careful, hands-on methods.

Papa Anzóis is their standout line of tinned fish — made entirely by hand in small batches and using a unique process developed in-house.
