Collection: Papa Anzóis
Conserveira do Arade was founded in 2015 in Parchal, in Portugal’s Algarve region, with the goal of reviving the area's long-standing fish canning tradition. As one of the few officially certified artisanal canneries in mainland Portugal, it focuses on small-scale production and careful, hands-on methods.
Papa Anzóis is their standout line of tinned fish — made entirely by hand in small batches and using a unique process developed in-house. Instead of steaming, the fish is gently dehydrated before canning, preserving its soft texture, rich flavour, and natural oils. Sardines, mackerel, and horse mackerel are sourced locally off the Algarve coast and paired with regional ingredients like olive oil, lemon, and peppers.
Everything is made with attention to detail and respect for local ingredients and fishing culture. Papa Anzóis conservas are honest, full of character, and deeply rooted in place — traditional, but made for today.
