Materia is an independent and forward-thinking food company founded in early 2024 by Giuseppe and Michele, based in the heart of Puglia, Italy. Rooted in a deep respect for the region’s rich culinary heritage, Materia reimagines traditional Italian flavors through a modern lens. Operating as a contemporary cooperativa, Materia is dedicated to empowering small-scale farmers and producers by connecting them to broader markets, all while championing sustainability and innovation.

Driven by the ethos of becoming innovators of the Italian pantry, Materia seamlessly blends the timeless essence of Italian cuisine with a fresh, contemporary brand identity. Their fully plant-based product range includes vibrant yellow and red tomato sauces, unique jams made from tomatoes and pumpkins, creamy pumpkin spreads, and tangy pickles. Each item is crafted in small batches of 600–700 units using local, seasonal vegetables sourced from micro farmers. With a commitment to purity, Materia’s products feature short, clean ingredient lists that let the natural flavors shine.

Beyond their products, the co-founders’ vision extends to fostering community and creativity. Materia celebrates the communal power of food through events, pop-ups, and playful merchandise.
