• Origin: Marais salants de Guérande, Brittany, France.
• Harvest: During the season from May to September.
• Process: Naturally crystallised during the day thanks to the sun, wind and low humidity in the 2000-year-old Guérande salt marshes. Fleur de sel forms on the surface of the carnations and never touches the clay, hence its whiteness. Harvested by hand and dried naturally for 2 years. Neither ground nor dried at high temperature and contains no additives.
• Quality: Protected Geographical Indication (PGI).
• Colour: Natural, light grey.

Artisans du Sel specializes in crafting natural sea salt and Guérande Fleur de Sel along France's Atlantic coast within the ancient, 2000-year-old Guérande salt marshes. Founded in 1999 by a Guérande salt worker and his family, the company is now led by siblings Mérédith and Gautier Férard, both natives of the Guérande peninsula.
