Supermarkets today offer a distorted reality: perfectly shaped but tasteless strawberries in winter, shelves lined with ultra-processed products, and origins that remain a mystery. This growing disconnect between people and their food has led to disastrous consequences: a broken food system, declining health, and an escalating climate crisis.

In 2023, designer-tech duo Baiba and Marcis founded Gourmie Goods to bridge this gap. Growing up, Baiba’s grandparents often reminded her, 'Ēd kārtīgi!' — 'Eat well!' For them, eating well was not just about nourishment but the joy of sharing seasonal, locally sourced food, bursting with flavor and care.

Guided by these values, Gourmie Goods is on a mission to bring radical transparency to the food system and help people reconnect with the origins of their food, fostering a healthier, more sustainable future.
